Continue your adventures with the SSI Advanced Diver Program and get the skills and experience you need to dive the world’s best dive sites, with SSI advanced training programs. Whatever your passion is, we have an SSI Specialty for your needs, because you can choose from over 20 individual programs. When you complete a certain number specialties, you’ll also automatically earn the SSI Specialty Diver, SSI Advanced Open Water Diver and SSI Master Diver ratings. These ratings display your competency and build a solid base for more adventures to come. If you can’t decide which Specialty programs are the best choice for you, take SSI’s Advanced Adventurer program! SSI´s Advanced was created so that you can try out 5 Specialty Programs before you commit to completing one or more full programs. It’s a great way to experience what advanced training is all about with the option to receive credit towards the full Specialty certification any time after. Course Description
Minimum Age: 10; 12 if Deep Diving dive is included
Certification Prerequisites: Open Water Diver
Note: Max depth is 40m /98 ft if Deep Diving dive is included.
Academic Sessions: Online learning
Open Water Dives: 2 dives per speciality, 3 for deep diving
Duration: Is typically one day per speciality

The Diver Diamond methodology
Each of our Specialty Programs is based on our diver diamond methodology
Diver Diamond is the cornerstone of the SSI educational system. It emphasizes the critical components of a great scuba education program: Proper knowledge, Proper Skills, Proper Equipment and Proper Experience. The diver diamond is the foundation for the Ultimate Dive Experience.
At SSI, they don’t want you to just learn to dive; they want you to become a diver. Their goal is to make every step of your scuba experience all about your comfort and confidence in the water. SSI professionals work together to make learning come alive with personalized instructions that will put your skills to use in reality based training scenarios. The unique approach is known as “Comfort through repetition”. By practicing each skill learned throughout each level of training your actions become conditioned responses – second nature!
Repetition ensures you retain what you have already learned while continuing to learn more. As a result, diving becomes more fun.

WHAT TO BRING
While New Zealand Diving will provide all necessary diving equipment, you will need to bring sunscreen, swimwear, a towel, and a change of clothes to each session.
