As you enter the world of scuba diving on your open water course, you will soon find how having your own first additions to your own equipment helps in terms of fit and comfort and most importantly building your confidence. You might like to consider your own mask, snorkel and fins.

After you are an Open Water Diver, your next step will be to get out there on your own and start organizing your own dive trips. You’re now eager to go and the essential things that you will want to add to your dive equipment will be regulators and BCD or Wing. Whether you haven’t been diving for a while or you spend every weekend diving in the sea or inland lakes, your valuable diving equipment will still need servicing. Regular maintenance, visual inspection and full servicing are vital for the continued safe and reliable use of your scuba diving equipment.

If you own a cylinder remember you will need to have it tested every year.

The Visual Test will inspect the valve and the interior of the cylinder, whilst the Hydrostatic tests the integrity of the walls and the working pressure.

New Zealand Diving offer full equipment servicing and repairs from their service centre. This includes servicing for ALL makes of regulators, cylinder testing, O2 cleaning, shot blasting and dry suit repairs to name just a few.
